Summary
This early-phase study tested a special artificial larynx with valves in 10 adults who had severe swallowing troubles, often after laryngeal cancer. The goal was to see if the device could help them close their tracheotomy (if they had one) and restore safe swallowing. The study focused on breathing function and used a camera to check the throat.
