NCT ID NCT05759286
First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tested whether smelling a blend of lavender and neroli oils, listening to familiar music, or both could help 108 children aged 6-11 feel less anxious during a dental numbing injection. Children were divided into four groups: aromatherapy only, music only, both, or a placebo mask. Their anxiety and pain were measured using face scales and behavior scoring. The goal was to find a simple, drug-free way to make dental visits less scary for kids.
