New drug trial hopes to slow muscle wasting in rare disease

Summary

This study tests a new medicine called ARO-DUX4 in people with a type of muscular dystrophy (FSHD1) that causes muscle weakness. The goal is to see if the drug is safe and how it works in the body. About 60 adults and teens will receive either the drug or a placebo, and some may continue treatment in a later study.
