Army tests secret weapon for cold: special energy bars
NCT ID NCT07489690
Summary
This study aims to understand which type of energy bar—one higher in fat or one higher in carbohydrates—helps soldiers perform better in cold weather. Eight healthy, physically active adults will test both bars while exercising in a cold chamber. Researchers will measure how their bodies use fuel and their performance on a timed run.
