New antibacterial matrix aims to cut infections in breast reconstruction

Summary
This study tests a new absorbable antibacterial matrix placed under the skin during breast reconstruction after mastectomy. The goal is to see if it reduces infections and other complications compared to standard care. About 702 women will take part in this research across multiple centers.
