First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests whether an arginine-containing toothpaste can improve dry mouth (xerostomia) over 12 weeks. About 70 adults with dry mouth caused by medications will use either the test toothpaste or a regular one. Researchers will measure changes in saliva acidity and mouth bacteria to see if the toothpaste helps.
