NCT ID NCT00508924
First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tested three doses of a blood thinner called argatroban, given with clopidogrel and aspirin, in 140 people having a heart artery procedure (PCI) for stable coronary artery disease or unstable angina. The goal was to see how well argatroban prevents blood clots and causes bleeding compared to the standard blood thinner, heparin. Participants received either argatroban or heparin during the procedure, and researchers measured clotting time and tracked heart attacks, deaths, urgent procedures, and major bleeding for 30 days.
