First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study will collect blood and sputum samples from 411 adults with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) who are on a breathing machine. Researchers will analyze the samples to find patterns in genes, bacteria, and metabolites that may predict how well patients respond to treatment and their chances of survival. The goal is to identify key biomarkers that could help doctors personalize ventilator settings and improve care for future patients.
