First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This small study tested whether an augmented reality (AR) headset could help 17 adults with chronic low back pain and fear of movement. Participants did bending exercises while the AR showed them moving further than they actually were, aiming to reduce their fear. The study checked for safety, comfort, and whether the visual trick helped increase their range of motion.
