First seen Mar 30, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tests a new type of physical therapy using augmented reality (AR) to help people who have had a stroke improve their balance and ability to move. The therapy, called AR-FIT, uses special glasses to add digital objects into the real world during exercises. Researchers will compare AR-FIT to standard therapy in 78 adults aged 40-70 who are at least 3 months past their stroke. The goal is to see if AR-FIT is more effective and engaging for recovery.
