First seen Mar 13, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tests whether an augmented reality (AR) system can help surgeons remove breast cancer more accurately than the usual ultrasound method. About 94 women with breast cancer will be randomly assigned to either AR-guided or standard surgery. The main goal is to see if the AR approach leads to fewer leftover cancer cells at the edges of the removed tissue.
