NCT ID NCT07270094

First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tested whether adding mental challenges (like counting or memory tasks) to water-based exercise helps healthy older adults more than water exercise alone. Eighty-four people aged 65+ did either dual-task water exercise or standard water exercise twice a week for 12 weeks. The dual-task group showed better improvements in balance, mobility, and thinking skills, while both groups improved physically.
