NCT ID NCT04604834

First seen May 10, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests whether eye drops made from a patient's own blood (autologous platelet-rich plasma) can help heal the cornea in people with neurotrophic keratopathy, a chronic condition where the cornea loses feeling and cannot heal properly. About 39 adults with this condition will receive three different treatments over 12 weeks to see which works best. The goal is to improve corneal healing, reduce symptoms, and improve quality of life.
