Summary
This study tested a scoring system called Appendistat (APS) to help doctors quickly identify patients with severe appendicitis who need urgent surgery. Researchers reviewed records of 592 patients who had their appendix removed and checked how well the score predicted complicated cases. The goal was to see if APS can improve patient prioritization and outcomes.
