Knee pain app aims to boost patient knowledge before doctor visit

NCT ID NCT07603973

First seen May 24, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026

Summary

This study is testing whether an app called Genus can help people with knee osteoarthritis learn more about their condition and feel more confident in making treatment decisions. About 204 adults over 50 who are waiting to see a knee specialist will either use the app for 8 weeks or just get standard information. The goal is to see if the app improves knowledge and reduces uncertainty about treatment options.
