Summary
This study looks at whether the blood thinner apixaban can safely clear blood clots in the portal vein that appear more than a year after spleen removal surgery. It involves 20 adults with cirrhosis who had their spleen removed. The main goal is to see if the clots fully dissolve with treatment.
