Aphasia ID cards put to the test: do they boost understanding?

NCT ID NCT06990997

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at whether showing an aphasia identification card to healthy volunteers helps them better understand someone with aphasia. About 160 service workers will listen to sentences spoken by a person with aphasia, with or without seeing the card first. The goal is to see if the card improves comprehension of speech errors and long pauses.
