New oral drug shows promise in shrinking head and neck tumors before surgery

Summary
This study tests an oral drug called APG-157 given before standard treatment (surgery or radiation) for people with newly diagnosed head and neck cancer. The goal is to see if it safely shrinks tumors and boosts the immune response. About 24 adults with early to advanced stage cancer will take the drug for a short time, then have scans and biopsies to measure changes.
