New drug aims to tame phosphate levels in kidney patients on dialysis

NCT ID NCT06712654

First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study tests a new medicine called AP306 to see if it can safely lower high phosphate levels in adults with kidney failure who are on hemodialysis. About 168 participants will receive either AP306 or a placebo. The goal is to control phosphate, a common problem in dialysis patients, not to cure kidney disease.
