NCT ID NCT07344415

First seen Jan 15, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tests a new gel that softens tooth decay so it can be gently scraped away, instead of using a drill. The goal is to see if this method causes less anxiety and discomfort for patients. About 80 adults with cavities in their lower molars will be randomly assigned to either the gel or the drill. The study is not yet recruiting and is led by Cairo University.
