First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study follows 100 people who had a heart attack to see how many develop anxiety or posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) later. Researchers want to understand if the fear, stress, and pain experienced during the heart attack play a role. Participants are adults aged 19–90 with no prior psychiatric conditions. The goal is to learn more, not to test a new treatment.
