Smartwatch score aims to keep heart patients moving

NCT ID NCT07211282

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests whether a special activity score, called the Antwerp Activity Index (AAI), can help people who have finished hospital-based cardiac rehab stay physically active. About 318 adults will wear a smartwatch for 4 months and do an exercise test at the end. Half will use the AAI score to guide their activity, and the other half will not, so researchers can see if the score helps them stick to exercise guidelines.
