Can a simple pill stop infections after bladder surgery?
NCT ID NCT06706362
Summary
This study aims to find out if giving an antibiotic pill right before a bladder bulking procedure helps prevent urinary tract infections in the weeks after surgery. It will involve 138 women with stress urinary incontinence who are having the Bulkamid procedure. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the antibiotic or a placebo pill, and researchers will track infection rates and overall satisfaction with the procedure.
