Heart valve surgery infection risk: can a Two-Drug antibiotic cocktail save lives?
NCT ID NCT07442357
Summary
This study aims to find the best antibiotic treatment to prevent serious infections after a minimally invasive heart valve replacement procedure called TAVI. It will compare a single antibiotic to a combination of two antibiotics given right before surgery. The goal is to see which approach better prevents bloodstream infections or death within six months after the procedure.
