Summary
This project aims to improve how antibiotics are prescribed for children with common respiratory infections like ear infections, strep throat, sinusitis, and pneumonia. Researchers will study how to best implement antibiotic stewardship guidelines across a large healthcare system involving over 259,000 children. The goal is to increase the use of narrow-spectrum antibiotics and shorten treatment durations when appropriate, reducing side effects and antibiotic resistance.
