Race against time: can slower antibiotic drips save more kids in ICU?

NCT ID NCT07484633

Summary

This study aims to find the best way to give antibiotics to critically ill children with severe infections like sepsis. Researchers will compare giving the same antibiotic dose over 3 hours versus the standard 30 minutes to see if the longer infusion works better at clearing the infection and is equally safe. The study will include 110 children aged 0-17 who are in a pediatric or neonatal intensive care unit.
