Can fish oil and arthritis drugs fight pregnancy breast cancer?
NCT ID NCT01881048
First seen Jan 30, 2026 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study looked at whether two anti-inflammatory drugs—fish oil and celecoxib (an arthritis medication)—can reduce inflammation and slow cancer spread in women with pregnancy-associated breast cancer. 42 women aged 18-50 with various stages of breast cancer took the drugs for at least a week. The goal was to gather early data on how these drugs affect tumor markers, not to cure the disease. Results will help design future, larger studies.
