First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study looks at how two types of anesthesia (total intravenous vs. inhaled) affect muscle loss in 40 adults undergoing colorectal cancer surgery. Researchers will measure muscle mass and strength before and after surgery using ultrasound, grip strength tests, and body composition scans. The goal is to identify which anesthesia method may help preserve muscle function during recovery.
