First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study looks at how different types of anesthesia affect blood pressure stability during organ removal surgery in brain-dead donors. About 270 donors will be randomly assigned to receive a gas anesthetic, a painkiller, or no anesthesia. The goal is to see which approach keeps blood pressure in a safe range, which may help preserve organ quality for transplant.
