New study aims to stop PTSD after traumatic births
NCT ID NCT07334418
Summary
This pilot study aims to find the best way to prevent PTSD in women who experience severe pain during a cesarean section after the baby is delivered. Researchers will compare two standard anesthesia approaches: switching to full unconsciousness (general anesthesia) early versus trying intravenous sedation first. The goal is to see if one method leads to better mental health recovery and less trauma for mothers.
