NCT ID NCT04407715
First seen Mar 07, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study looked at 80 adults having open gynecologic surgery to see if the amount of anesthesia gas affects the size of the nerve at the back of the eye. Researchers measured the optic nerve sheath using ultrasound before and during surgery with either minimal or high gas flow. The goal was to understand how different anesthesia techniques might influence eye pressure, but this was an observational study, not a treatment.
