First seen Apr 10, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looked at how different anesthesia gas flows affect brain pressure and oxygen levels in 64 women having laparoscopic hysterectomy. Researchers measured brain pressure using ultrasound of the eye nerve sheath and brain oxygen with a special light sensor. The goal was to see if low-flow or high-flow anesthesia makes a difference during surgery.
