NCT ID NCT00584324

First seen Apr 08, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looked at whether the depth of anesthesia affects a person's ability to hear spoken words without being aware of it, and whether this influences anxiety after surgery. Researchers studied 70 adults undergoing urologic or orthopedic procedures. The goal was to understand how different anesthesia levels might impact hidden (implicit) memory, not to test a new treatment.
