Summary
This study looked at 154 older adults (60+) to see if the type of anesthesia used during surgery affects the brain's protective barrier and the risk of confusion or memory problems afterward. Participants received either intravenous or inhaled anesthesia. The goal was to measure changes in a brain protein and track any cognitive issues in the week after surgery.
