First seen Mar 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looked at two natural ways to help with severe period pain: a desert plant called Anastatica hierochuntica and a breathing technique called 4-7-8. One hundred women aged 18-35 with very painful periods tried one of these methods for three months. Both approaches helped reduce pain and improve how women felt emotionally and physically during their periods.
