Could your own blood help heal a painful anal condition?
NCT ID NCT05641844
Summary
This study is testing whether a treatment made from a patient's own blood can help heal anal fistulas better than a standard saline solution. About 110 adults with specific types of anal fistulas will participate. Doctors will clean the fistula, close its internal opening, and then fill the tract with either the patient's clotted blood or a saline solution to see which leads to better healing over 6 to 12 months.
