NCT ID NCT02021422
Summary
This small, early-stage study aimed to see if it was safe to add a drug called anakinra to standard chemotherapy for people with advanced pancreatic cancer that had spread. Anakinra is an anti-inflammatory drug approved for rheumatoid arthritis. Researchers wanted to check for side effects and gather early information on whether this combination might help the immune system fight the cancer.
