First seen Feb 11, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tests whether a single-layer amniotic membrane (XPURT) plus standard care can help close nonhealing pressure ulcers better than standard care alone. About 100 adults with stage 3 or 4 pressure sores on the trunk will be followed for 20 weeks. The main goal is to see if the membrane increases the number of wounds that fully close.
