Three-Pronged attack on leukemia: new trial tests combination therapy with maintenance plan

Summary
This study is testing whether a three-drug combination (ivosidenib, azacitidine, and venetoclax) followed by long-term maintenance therapy with ivosidenib alone is a safe and effective way to treat newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in people aged 60 and older who have a specific genetic change (IDH1 mutation). The main goal is to see if this approach keeps the cancer from coming back for a longer period. Researchers will also closely monitor the safety of the treatment and the time commitment required for participants.
