New drug trial targets genetic drivers of aggressive stomach cancers

Summary

This study is testing whether the drug amivantamab can help control advanced stomach or esophageal cancer that has specific genetic changes (EGFR or MET amplification). The trial will enroll 25 adults whose cancer has progressed after at least one prior treatment. Researchers want to see if the drug shrinks tumors and is safe for patients.
