Can a gentamicin combo beat Broad-Spectrum antibiotics in sepsis?

Summary
This study tests whether a combination of gentamicin and narrow-spectrum antibiotics works as well as broad-spectrum antibiotics for treating early sepsis. About 1,900 adults with suspected sepsis will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatments. The goal is to see if the gentamicin combo is just as effective at preventing death and kidney injury, while possibly causing less antibiotic resistance.
