New combo treatment tackles sun spots and precancerous lesions in one go
NCT ID NCT07053852
First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This early-phase study tested a treatment that combines a cream (Ameluz) with a special light (BBL HEROic) to treat both actinic keratoses (rough, scaly patches that can turn into skin cancer) and general sun damage. Ten adults with mild to moderate sun damage on their face received two treatments. The goal was to see how many precancerous spots cleared up and whether the skin's overall appearance improved.
