Summary
This study tested whether adding amantadine to the painkiller pregabalin could prevent chronic pain after lung surgery. Sixty adults who had chest surgery for cancer were randomly assigned to receive either the drug combo or a placebo. The main goal was to see how many people developed long-term nerve pain 12 weeks after surgery.
