Scientists scan brains to track Alzheimer's proteins over time

NCT ID NCT02740634

First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study uses brain scans to measure two proteins, amyloid and tau, in people with different forms of Alzheimer's disease. Researchers want to see how these protein levels change over one year. The goal is to better understand the disease, not to test a treatment. About 60 adults with typical or atypical Alzheimer's will participate.
