Doctors use virtual patients to see if new Alzheimer's blood test improves care
NCT ID NCT07099001
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a new blood test for Alzheimer's disease helps doctors make better decisions. Instead of real patients, 178 neurologists used virtual patient simulations. The goal was to see if having the blood test results changed how doctors diagnosed and treated symptoms of cognitive decline. This research helps understand if the test is useful in practice, not whether it cures or treats the disease.
