First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study looked at whether thinning of the retina (the back part of the eye) can be a sign of Alzheimer's disease. Researchers compared eye scans from 55 people with Alzheimer's, Lewy body disease, and healthy volunteers. The goal was to see if measuring retinal layers could help doctors diagnose Alzheimer's more easily and cheaply.
