New pain shot could keep you comfortable for days after foot surgery

Summary

This study tests a new painkiller called ALX006 for people having bunion surgery. The drug is given as a single shot near the sciatic nerve to numb the foot. Researchers want to see if it provides longer pain relief than the standard painkiller, with fewer side effects. About 60 adults will take part.
