First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looked at three different methods to preserve the jawbone after removing an infected front tooth. 54 adults received either a dentin graft alone, a dentin graft combined with a platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) gel, or a dentin graft with PRF gel plus the antibiotic metronidazole. The goal was to see which approach best maintained bone height and width for future dental implants.
