Summary
This study tested the safety of combining two drugs, alpelisib and fulvestrant, in 40 men and post-menopausal women with a certain type of advanced breast cancer (HR-positive, HER2-negative) that has a PIK3CA mutation and has stopped responding to hormone therapy. The goal was to see how many people had side effects during treatment. The study is complete and focused on safety, not on curing the disease.
