Summary
This study tests whether a daily dose of alpha lipoic acid, a supplement, can reduce heart problems in 50 children who are on hemodialysis. Half will get the supplement and half a placebo. Researchers will monitor for heart events like stroke or angina and check blood markers of stress and blood vessel health.
